The Holidays are here again! We hear it's going to
be a mild winter so we're sorry to those of you who ski! When it snows, either
a gig is canceled or we have to brave the inclement weather and be at a gig no matter what, so this news(if indeed true)makes
us smile!
More good news.......we are going to be in some clubs at the end of the month(The Hawthorne Inn,
and The Water's Edge), so we may actually be able to see you before the new year, which makes us VERY happy! We normally just do private functions in December, so this will make for a nice change.
OVERVIEW OF NOVEMBER:
We started out last month with The Rotary Club of Danbury's annual raffle. Would you believe, we ALMOST (almost is not good enough though!) won the top prize!
We saw the "Elks" in Waterbury....quite the dancing crowd!
While there, Nan saw a woman she'd worked with at The Hartford Insurance Company(in a prior life!). So nice to see you Cheryl! And don't worry...will pop into
your business and surprise you when you least expect it!
We had another good time with the singles club, "ESCAPADES" and it was yet another dancing crowd! We really lucked out that whole weekend! Thanks
to Lou, Peg and Ed for always being so great..and for hiring us! The staff at
"The Royal Green" were also very accommodating. We appreciate that as well!
The following week was at A. Joseph's Restaurant, with our wonderful good friends! We even got another Christmas party! Thanks Tom!
The Shriner's held their annual 'Ladies Night' at Shuttle Meadow Country Club. Such a beautiful location it is! And...we're always
treated with such respect like a part of the family. We really look forward to
those events! I know we've probably said this a zillion times and we will continue
to repeat it!
We had our usual fun at The Hawthorne Inn and said hello to our friends there....Nan is always
lagging coming back to the stage because she wants to socialize with EVERYONE( after all....(no pun intended)...you do come
to see us...!!)but then again...Nick does too! Thanks for continuing to support
us!
The Water's Edge was fairly busy the entire weekend we were there!
There were some class reunions on Friday night, and a wedding on Saturday, and when those events let out they always
wander into the lounge. ARGH!! This
can be good OR bad! Thanks to Shirley and Tom for helping me keep my sanity!
Tonight we will be at the SONO Boat Club, and we're really hoping to see our "Stamford" crew! Don't let us down you guys!! We
want to see you before next year!
Please Have a joyous holiday season, and we wish you love and good health!
PS A special hello to tables #13 & #7 at The Inn
at Ethan Allen....we wish we could see you this month!
NICK & NANCY
