A very Happy Valentines Day to
all. It feels good to have so many sweethearts!
Firstly, Nan would like to thank
everyone for his or her support and prayers regarding her Mom’s death on January 24th. Friends are such a blessing at this time and always and you are all truly appreciated each and every day.
JANUARY OVERVIEW
A. Joseph’s: We had our monthly gig at and our regulars were there to cheer us on. THANK YOU a hundred fold.
There was a threat of sleet
on the night of The Shriner's party but everyone still turned out in style. Don't worry…we forgive you all for leaving
a bit early. Icy weather is no laughing matter!
JUNIPERS: We played here
for our first time since it was “The Country Gate”! and had a great
time. Many dancing feet both nights, and the best part were our friends showing
up! That is ALWAYS the best part! Thanks
to Joan and Jim, and also our table #13 from Danbury (Jim and Jackie, Bob & Rosemary and Peg and Bruce! But they didn't have a table it was so crowded…now they have become bar flies!).
Chibo’s in Colchester
was very nice for a first time as well. A nice little crowd (and of course Jim
and Joan as well as Shirl and Tom were there to see us, plus Bing (we couldn't have done it without you!) and Claire and Fred
and Terry!
Our stint at The Hawthorne
was wonderful per usual…but there were so many friends it was difficult to talk to everyone on the breaks. Forgive us, as we didn't mean to slight anyone! Our wonderful
friends Steve and Rich were there to lend a gladly needed hand and some excellent vocal and musical accompaniments!
We were at The Water’s
Edge at end of month………..and yet again…Jim and Joan and (now you know why they have won the contest
for being the most supportive!) (Don't worry Mark & Karen…you're a very close second, with Shirl & Tom coming
up on the inside lane!) and Shirl and Tom! It was a difficult weekend to get
through, but the moral support was there.
