"AFTER ALL"
FEBRUARY OVERVIEW
Hope you had a fantastic February!

We began the month with "Junipers" in Middlebury. There was a party being held in part of the dining room and they all came inside to party hearty and spend the evening with us. The dining room was full too, which meant more people to dance!

We saw our friends "The Stamford Crew" at SONO Boat Club and were very pleased they were there to support us. Jeannie was going to Florida for some R&R....hope you're having a great time!

We had a nice crowd at The Inn @ Ethan Allen in Danbury....and low and behold..."The Danbury Crew" was there! Hey...just a thought........ wouldn't it be great if both crews there to see us at the same time?? They have both been to The Hawthorne Inn at one time or another....maybe...just maybe.....they could all come to wherever we're playing for Nan's Birthday on Saturday June 21st! NOW THAT would be fun! We would love to pack the place to the rafters for Nan's special day, and have a blast! Imagine having EVERYONE there all at once....OKAY..so there might not be any room to dance > :) Oh well..the best laid plans.....

We were at Water's Edge for Valentines Day. There were some people there but not the crowd we'd expected because it was a last minute decision for the resort to have live music that evening. Still....it was nice to be there to do a bunch of lovie dovie songs for all of the love-birds!

The Hawthorne was a wonderful night. One of those nights you really wish were the case every time. Especially since Nick's Dad John (who is a leap year baby and turned 21 this year!) and Sister/Brother-In-Law were there plus MANY of our friends. Doug and Karen were there whose wedding we will be doing during the summer. Nancy & Evan, Rita & Guy, Sue & Al, Mary & Eli, Bill & Ann, Diane & Jim (with the blue drink!) were there and gosh....we should have written the names down!

The Escapades Singles Dance was non-stop dancing! Lew, Peg, Ed and Dan were there per usual to lead the festivities, and after the first song there was already a crowd on the floor which is unusual.

We were in Springfield, MA for the Melha Shriner’s on the Friday evening that it snowed....a treacherous trip! But...they showed up with bells on...and boots! They're used to having snow up there! There were some friends from CT there as well, which made us feel very much at home!

The next morning we left in the wee hours, after the snow stopped, for our non-stop drive to Buffalo, NY for Meg and Jason’s wedding! It was a beautiful venue indeed! It was such an honor and great pleasure to be chosen to be there for their special day! Thanks to Mark and Karen, parents of the bride, for the opportunity! We even went to Niagara Falls the next day with our good friends and relatives of the Bride, Charlie & Cindy, Nate

and Cheryl (along with cutie little Chase!), and Jay and Cat. It was absolutely gorgeous with a winter backdrop....and REALLY COLD!! We got a few good pictures that we will get onto the web site eventually!

Friday night at The Water's Edge was a ghost town as the weatherman’s threats scared a lot of people into staying home, plus there weren't any events going on at the hotel that evening. The bright spots of the evening were Kit & Holly dancing away and then…….we couldn't believe our eyes when we saw Jimmy and Mary walk in!! They were a sight for sore eyes! Have missed watching them dance! YAY!

Saturday night was more like it! The dance floor was packed even for the last song of the night! Shirl & Tom, Terry & Fred, Pat & Tom, Evelyn & Tom (lots of Tom’s!!), Maryann & Peter, Ray & Jen (who were celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary) plus many others were there to help us have a fun night! Bing and Claire weren't there because Claire was not feeling well….feel better CLAIRE! Jim and Joan are in Florida…..COME HOME!!!

Please know that if we didn't see you this month you were missed! We hope to see you next month!
